3 weeks ago our Prime Minister declared a Level 4 shutdown of New Zealand. If you are reading this, you are aware of the restrictions placed upon every 'kiwi' and I will not repeat that here.
Instead, it is important for Barnsy's to communicate to all our clients with what our response has been to this unprecedented event.
Like all non-essential businesses in New Zealand, we are CLOSED until Level 3 is declared. As I write this, tomorrow Monday 20th April 2020 an announcement will be made. In the meantime, Barnsy and I want to say to our clients, past and present, thank you for helping us to get where we are today. Your trust and faith in our company to deliver quality service and on time, has propelled us to provide that same standard every time.
NO, this is not a declaration that we are going 'bust'. You know what Barnsy's like - 'till hell freezes over'!!.
I want to acknowledge our staff: a small group of guys and a girl working for us. Our team has been together for a few years and more. These people are the backbone of our company, their reliability, consistency, and integrity have kept Barnsy's going every day. We will move forward with them.
When we head back to work there will be changes and we are ready - expect a heightened focus on PPE and additional processes and/or procedures to add to Health & Safety.
When we see you next, never mind the handshake - instead: the tip of the hat, a wink, the 'east coast nod' or 'churr' will do. Hang in there, stay in your 'bubble'. Stay well.
